Not only would they have to learn and grow from youth, but half way through the season they had to change a lot in blocking schemes to fit the new style behind a new QB. That's not an easy change.
"Constantly overrated" is something I don't think you're being honest about. And they didn't struggle against every P5. They did pretty well against almost every P5 last year except Washington.
