Between getting to the trail, running the actual trail for several hours, and getting back home I've yet to witness a trail runner that doesn't ignore a lot of family duties. Plus these groups always seem to have a fair amount of pressure to get out very often.

Sorry for the negative response but I have a few friends that started up trail running and I've sadly seen the effects on their family. Like any hobby that can get out of control, it needs to be done in moderation.
