their entire young core (Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, and Hart) plus 2 1st round draft picks. And that was before the Lakers found out that Ingram has a shoulder condition that required shutting him down for the remainder of 2019. The Pelicans HATE the Lakers - they have gone out of their way to troll them since they feel like LA tampered with Davis. I think they will go out of their way to avoid shipping him to the Lakers unless the Lakers offer is overwhelmingly better than the next best option. In my opinion, the only way that happens is if the Lakers hit the Lottery jackpot and their pick jumps up into the top 3. To me, THAT is the likelihood of the Lakers landing Davis - the 4-ish% chance that they get a top three pick.
I do agree that the attractiveness of the Celtics offer has also diminished. Tatum has struggled down the stretch, and their picks didn't end up being as high as they hoped. I would not be surprised if the Knicks, Clippers, or a mystery team swooped with the best offer.
