So my daughter shattered the screen on her phone the other night...
We have a rule in our house that you must leave your phone upstairs in the kitchen at bedtime. She got up in the middle of the night to "get a drink of water." Well, she was checking texts on her phone, and dropped it, shattering the screen.

I'm grateful for moments like this when I can teach my kids a lesson that when they disobey the rules, God punishes them.

I'm kidding, of course. She decided that instead of paying us $130 to get it fixed by a professional, she would pay the $25 to buy the kit online and have me fix it. I have zero experience in performing surgery on a phone, so I told her that she is taking the gamble that the phone may actually end up in worse shape than when she dropped it.

It was touch and go for a while there, but I fixed it without any issues. (Philosoraptor, May 14, 2019 at 5:57pm)
