a $35 online kit. I am pretty handy and there is not much that I don't/can't fix. Here is my experience:

The initial kit I bought was a screen only and did not include the LCD. It is a pain in the butt (I think impossible) to separate the screen from the LCD. At least in my case, the LCD was ruined fairly quickly in my attempt to separate the broken glass screen from the LCD panel.

So then I ordered a similar kit that included the LCD and the screen for a little but more. And it worked! For three days. Then the LCD screen went out. Probably because it was a cheap piece of after market crap.

So then I tried to take the phone apart again to see what the problem was. And in the attempt to re-melt the adhesive and pull the screen off yet again, I broke the screen.

So I gave up and we bought her a new phone with a monthly protection plan 🙂
