MY MIL ... as long as needed ... My HCBW's MIL .... that's harder....
That said, I'm the guy and it's my wife's mom and my HCBW would be the one to spend the most time with her.
On the flip side, my mom and wife had had issues, especially when we first got married. I think that would be ALOT harder.

Well, my MIL has some mental illness. My wife has forbidden me from being home alone with her for safety reasons.
