I can watch older shows and not let the changed attitudes...
of our current society affect what I think of the movie or other art.

I can understand someone who wasn't living during a previous time and had no life experience like that being more bothered by it but for someone who lived then it shouldn't be anything that would matter. And I also think that even people who are to young to have had such things be considered "normal" should be able to understand it was a different time and take it for what it is without getting offended by it.

I also understand that modern pop SJW culture is in large part based on being offended by everything so just taking things for what they were at the time they were made isn't something most of them are capable of doing. For instance my wife and I watched "Sixteen Candles" a couple of months ago, as I watched it I could just see dozens of things that many modern day younger people would find offensive as can be but for me they didn't matter at all, and back then very few people would have been bothered by any of it either.

I doubt that movie could even be made these days.
