Frontier had a revenue guarantee to serve Provo. For six months they were guaranteed to make money. The airline sets a margin and if they are below the margin the city/county/state (whoever contracted) makes up the difference.
They bounced as soon as that was set to expire. The flights were bad.
Please understand - I’m not speculating. Provo for Frontier didn’t work. “Internal restructuring” is a euphemism designed to make the community not feel bad.
