aircraft that fly people back and forth throughout the world. I used the A319 as an example because every other plane out there is bigger. So, if Allegiant, which does fly A319s can't park overnight, then Southwest prolly can't park a 737...
A "pad" is a location on the tarmac at an airport where you can park an airplane for an extended period of time.
Reasons why an airline would need to park a plane overnight:
1. A late flight arriving at night with no departure until the next day
2. Airlines have more planes than they have flights. Think about it
3. Mechanical issues and the plane is grounded
4. Inclement weather
5. Do I need to continue?
They haven't announced the airlines, so how can I know who they are? I follow county and city development because I like knowing what's being built, and I'm naturally curious.
