and one night (the mom worked graveyards), we got a knock at 11 pm. It was the young dad next door. We did not know them at all. He said he was at his wits end, and asked if he could go for a 30 minute walk to catch his breath because the baby had colic. My wife went over and sat for 30 minutes while he went to catch his breath. Had tons of respect for him after that.
