It wouldn't be the first time for a P12 champ to be left out. Considering how weak some of the NC contenders OOC schedules can be, a P12 champ likely would be left out more to the failures of the conference leadership than actual results. Yes, Bama plays a tough OOC game every year usually, but since they only play 8 conference games, they often only play 9 P5 school in a year and their OOC games are a joke. The Citadel? Western Carolina? Sadly, perception is paramount here and the P12 doesn't have it in their favor at the moment
