Since going indy we have also gone to most away games although I’ve never been to a USU game or Utah game home or away as not being from Utah or knowing alumnus if those schools I don’t really care about them as much but to the point. For football games I honestly can’t think of a single time where anyone has so much as looked at me wrong let alone said anything. We mostly purchase our tickets behind the BYU bench from season ticket holders of the other team & don’t sit with other BYU fans & we are loud & proud.

You seem like someone that is in my shoes a little bit so I thought I’d reach out. There seems to be so much angst about opposing fans but I guess I don’t get it or I’m in the minority for not having a poor experience?

We’ve been to every WCC road venue for b-ball except Portland & sure SMC students were obnoxious to everyone but never singled us out. Same with SDSU & USF & GU. Most were kind and thanked us for coming. We’ve loved the WCC & ease of travel & getting into the games with amazing seats everygame. A road ticket that may cost 100 in b-ball is 500 at the MC so as a fan it’s amazing.

In the end I’m not sure what it is... I’m a former player & a bigger than normal dude & my wife is a double BYU minority so maybe we look different enough or that we may respond so nobody says anything?

We’ve wore our BYU gear proudly out on the town, at the bar scenes at restaurants & on campus exploring at ND, Mich, Wisc, TX, etc etc. only great convos with nice fans or even drunk ones have been cool. Either way I’d love your personal opinion.
