The sad thing is that it is highly unlikely they can even bring his body back.
It is hard enough to get back by one's self let along trying to haul a heavy dead body. I feel bad for his family. In my younger years when I did a lot of hiking and minor mountain climbing I often thought about trying Everest but the danger factor won out. I tend to side with the purists who feel that too many people who are ill-prepared are attempting Everest these days since it is pretty easy to hire a guide if you have the cash. These ill-prepared people are leading to the higher numbers of those who don't make it back home. It used to be only those who had trained for many years of increasingly difficult climbs would eventually attempt Everest. Now you can just plop down $50-100K and if you are in reasonably good shape some guide will take you even if your technical climbing skills are lacking.
