You must have been on the Hilo side. We've had maybe 1-2 days rain in all
our visits; perhaps 13-15 weeks on the big island in total.
Maui is my 2nd favorite island, Kauai is my wife's 2nd fav. Bit's been probably 6-7 years since we've been to either of those.
We are NOT big fans of Oahu. Honolulu is like spending a week in San Francisco. No thanks.
