Was there last month. Forecast was similar. Rain was barely noticable
As others have said, if heavy rain is forecasted, head to the south of island.
Rained almost everyday in the Princeville area but lightly/intermittently - didn’t interrupt anything.
Kauai > Maui if you’re into hiking/more active stuff. Food options better in Maui.
