You either believe the experts or you don't. That's the issue. If James Andrews and a board of experts appointed by
MLB say it's dangerous to let a kid that ags pass 120, then you shouldn't just let it rip in a championship game.

And I understand the importance of a championship. Honestly if it was 9 innings I'd be less critical. But 11 innings also means he going out there and warming up more, and he's stopping and starting more than he ever has, and the time on the clock is probably longer.

Did the extra 2 innings and 20 pitches make a difference in this kids life? Hopefully not. But every year in high school, little league, college, babe ruth, and every other league coaches overextended their pitchers and according to the experts there are negative consequences.

If my kid is a great high school pitcher, I'm not sending him to a place like Mississippi State or Oregon State where the coaches have won at the expense of their players.
