It's never a bad idea to run a quick headspace check (especially if using parts from mixed manufacturers), however, it is very unlikely to have headspace issues with an AR15 if quality parts are used and torqued to proper spec. Headspace is critically important in bolt action builds, when cutting the chamber with a reamer and threading the barrel, and when barreling the action.
