It's definitely unfortunate that the lady got hit so hard, but none of the blame should be put on Lowry. It was great effort by him and I'd hope he'd so the same thing over and over again.
Someone could have been seriously hurt, but that's not on him. Maybe fans shouldn't be so vulnerable.
I"ve wondered the same about foul balls at baseball games. The wife of one of my best friends when I was a teenager was hit in the face by a foul ball at a MLB year ago and has been through some brutal recovery. It's not the fault of the guy who hit the ball. He was playing the game. The league, however, should do more to protect fans.
