Circus that happened the last time we tried to get into the BIG 10. I’ve lived in the heart of the Evangelical South. Lynchburg, VA home of Liberty university and I’ve experienced how some their viewed Mormons. Even that was over blown at times.

The NCAA has done plenty to accommodate us with sunday play, Etc. The penalty has much less to do with religious affiliation and more to do with the fact that the NCAA isn’t afraid to punish us like they are the Big time basketball Schools. We also are not part of a P5 which now essentially runs big college Athletics. The NCAA has essentially become the rules division of a College system run by the P5, rather than running college Athletics. It’s essentially Toby Flederson trying to keep Michael Scott in check. Sometimes he slows down the craziness but mostly he just pisses him off.

Emery broke the rules, and by the letter of the law the punishment was just, But if we were Truly a part of a P5 conference we would have received much more of a slap on the wrist or no punishment at all (see UNC academics scandal).
