Are they in group play or elimination play?

If they are still in group play, isn't your standing in the group, in the event of a tie - partially determined by goals for and against?

Generally speaking, I'm OK with playing and doing your best. And this comes from someone who once lost a soccer match 9-0 because the other side was just that good and we sucked. But I was never upset at the other side. They were actually pretty cool guys - good and going to score and win, but without being jerks about it.
