they're privileges bestowed on one group at the expense of individuals. I get that the politically correct take on this is that privilege should trump actual rights but I do not agree with that line of thinking at all. Now that we are becoming a culture of privilege we are also becoming a culture in decline where true rights are disrespected and ignored in favor of upholding privileges granted to groups. This is not a good thing no matter if the intent is noble.
