Even if there are no other networks, BYU has bargaining power

ESPN is looking for games with eyeballs, and BYU can supply them. No, not at the level of Notre Dame, but far above the level of many other schools. This gives BYU bargaining power. There are also many factors that give ESPN bargaining power. Negotiations are all about leveraging the power of the two sides.
