And I had a guy come in with fire coming out of his ears because we had faulty computers, were stealing his money, and now he's going to sue the bank. I had printed out his transaction history for him earlier in the morning, and then came back that afternoon because he had done the math and we were crooks. So he yelled at me for a little bit because he had been a customer for X years and the customer service had just gone downhill, and now he was sick and tired of everything. Then he said "get me in front of someone with some authority who can explain this to me." I told him my manager was in a meeting, but that I could look at it with him. So we go sit down at a desk, and he rages about how he had made several deposits that weren't showing up in his balance.
Turns out, he was reading the transaction history wrong. It has the most recent transactions at the top, and then previous transactions underneath. He was reading it from top to bottom, wondering why his transaction from June 10 didn't show up in his balance on June 9. I explained it to him, he realized his mistake, and then complained about how the print was too small to read. We had a good talk about how it was an honest mistake by him (lol), and that it happens all the time (it doesn't).
