Those are fun experiences. In high school, a buddy worked at this elite sports club with golf, gym, et. in Dallas.

After hours, I'd go over and we could use the gym as much as much as we wanted, including playing basketball, lifting, hanging out in the spa, etc.  George Bush had a name plate locker there but I never saw him.  But you get the idea.  It's by the Dallas temple, FWIW.

My friend and I started a few pick up games after work, and occasionally some of the older guys would hop on.  Once I was playing against this nice guy in his 40s at the time.  He wasn't super tall, maybe 6'2" or so, but crazy-almost annoyingly- athletic.  Couldn't miss a shot, and had great quickness, especially for his age.  Crazy competitive, but would give you five if you made a shot on him, and he'd tell you nice shot.  I kept thinking man this old dude is good, and cool.  Afterward, guys were surrounding him, taking to him, and he seemed like a big deal.

My buddy comes over and says, man that was awesome. I am like, what.  He says, that was Roger Stauback you were guarding.  I about died.  I start frantically looking for him to get his sig but last I saw he was outside driving away by the time I figured it out and caught up near him.

Kind of funny.  Also weird how some celebrities seem so normal in real life.

My daughter was at event where we spent some time chatting with Harry Connick Jr. I gotta say, he is probably the coolest, most down to earth famous guy I have met, and I have met a few.
