walking the island. Here's what we usually do: we drive onto the island, then park near the ferry. We'll then take the ferry over to the peninsula and walk out to the pier. Usually we eat at Ruby's out on the pier. There's an arcade and some other fun things to do on the peninsula. There's also a couple harbor tours that leave from there too.

If we walk on the island, we usually park closer to the main street and walk along the shops, get some bananas and sugar cookies, etc. It's fun going there at Christmas time because all the homes along the water's edge put up great decorations. I think there may be some events there for the fourth of July too.

We don't usually go to the beaches there, but that would be fun to do as well. I think there is a pretty awesome kids beach if I remember correctly. Anyway, fun place.
