He had pitched very well in last year's postseason. I figured he'd be an excellent 8th-inning guy to hold teams in check and then pass the baton to Jansen in the 9th. I even thought that he might be a guy who could close games if Jansen were to falter.
But, so far, he's been pretty bad. When I saw he was coming into the game with a 9-run lead I he should be able to finish the game up for the Dodgers, but I figured he'd probably give up a couple of runs.
