Years ago they did two camps, the ‘Invite’ and then the ‘we want your registration money’ camps. Those went away when some of the rules changed.

Now they just limit the number of kids and make sure the guys they want to look at register early.

The only (kind-of) invite only camp I know about this year was “Best in the west”. It had a short registration window and coaches told kids they would txt when it was open. (They still had more walk-up-registrations then they planned). Utah, BYU, USC, USU, Weber, Suu, Dixie all ran that camp.
