is the greatest rivalry in college football although Michigan hasn't really lived up to their end of the rivalry in a while due to ohio states unprecedented greatness. I think the Army Navy rivalry is more cute than anything. It hasn't mattered to the national rankings or bowl picture in a very long time. Auburn Alabama has been great during the nick saban era...but I don't remember caring about that rivalry before then. Ohio State Michigan has stood the test of time amongst generations more than the other rivalries.

But i bet you the average american doesn't even know clemson is in south carolina. And south carolina hasn't exactly been a powerhouse for football. Some average spurrier teams. Clemson has really acquitted themselves quite well the last few years but I don't see their rivalry with south carolina as their launching pad into the BCS or the Playoff like some of the other rivalries. I'm not convinced that washington washington state isn't a better rivalry than south carolina clemson.
