exaggerating the value and actual occurrence of having a bunch of maybe's vs 1 or 2 clear cut top dogs. Many schools aren't heavily dipping beyond a 1-2 punch for their main production. Having 1 or 2 higher caliber guys is always, always preferable to having 4 guys who can all equally do... well, something but we don't know what.
Brown, Hine, and Bernard was much better than what we've got at the moment. Again, one is hindsight. But even though that group wasn't ideal, they producecd. Two guys at 6 ypc, one at 5, 1500 yds and 23 total TDs.
We have a full stable of maybe this, potential that, injury here and there, and big question marks. It doesn't lean one way or the other yet, but at the very least it does mean there's a lot more for the team to lean on. Which is good because that can change quickly at RB when guys get injured.
