that's not how CFB typically works. If you're really sure you've got a "full stable," it probably means you don't have a top guy. You ALWAYS take 1 or 2 top guys. Always. You'll never ever find a coach wishing he had 5 guys he had to split the ball between, because he didn't have 2 that he could focus on. Don't exaggerate this full stable thing. It's really overrated, 2nd tier, and never preferable. It's a weird term for this position group when you're not Georgia spreading it around to 4 superstar caliber guys.
I get it, you want us to feel better about having some more guys. And the reason you have to do that is because you know we don't have a top guy. So immediately it's a "well, at least we've got this" type of thing. It's still Plan B.
