I'm happy Marleau is gone, he had no business on in the top 6 (or even 3rd line, really) and on the PP anymore. And with no salary retained? That's pretty great. I did not think it would take a first rounder, though. That makes it really tough to make a big acquisition at the deadline this year if Toronto looks like a legit contender (although if they were up against th ecap that would've made it nearly impossible anyway...). So yeah, I'm fine with it, the cost was steeper than I expected but I trust Dubas enough to assume that was market rate to get rid of Marleau with no salary retained.
