I can’t stand losing to Utah. We’ve lost in so many painful ways, I don’t even enjoy watching the game anymore. Losing another would be awful, as they always are.

But follow that up with 3 straight quality wins over storiesd programs, at least one of which should be ranked? I’d take that every time. We’d be sky high heading into the rest of the season and have an excellent shot at at a long-awaited top 25 finish. I’ll take the Ute loss for that. No brainer.

Now on the flip side, I’d also take just 1 win if it were over the Utes. I expect us to get 1 maybe 2 of the first 4. Guaranteeing we beat the Utes would be enough for me to forego a non-guaranteed shot at winning more of our first 4. I’d be tempted to roll the dice if all you guaranteed me was a 1-3 start with our win coming vs any of the others.
