Do you realize that half the conference is from Cincinnati and West...
Creighton (Omaha, Nebraska)
Marquette (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)
Dapaul (Chicago, Illinois)
Butler (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Xavier (Cincinnati, Ohio)
The other 5 are all within about 1 hour drive of the Atlantic Ocean (or a bay that opens to the Atlantic Ocean) spanning from Rhode Island down to Washington DC.
I'm not advocating a Big East move but for those that agree that geography wouldn't make sense for Big East they should likely have the same thought for the AAC as not only would you have to go further East on a regular basis but you'd also have to go a LOT further South as well...
If playing the geography angle neither would fit but surprisingly the Big East might fit better...
Now if football only was the topic then Big East isn't even in the conversation (because they don't have football) and geography is less of a discussion as it is a max of 4/5 road games that distance a year and this year is already doing road games at Tennessee, Toledo, South Florida & UMass. Could be like AAC road games of Memphis, Cincy, South Florida and UConn (except they are leaving thus the conversations). I guess that would leave Temple as the furthest NE team in the conference.
