Yes, many people consider us that and think we are better than we are because of our history. Most people also think the AAC is good conference and if they got BYU and Boise would be better than most of the PAC 12. This is from living in Big 12, SEC, and ACC country. In Norman plenty of people think of BYU as a really good program who has great history and outside of Baylor fans and some Texas fans (for obvious reasons) most wanted us in the Big 12 and try to get Houston. We just have a bunch of pessimistic CBers. Many people think the AAC with a couple additions could be a P6 and maybe even knock out the Pac after a few years. We haven't won a ton of games the last couple of years but we could go to the AAC and still be respected and all, or we could stay in Indy and hold out for a P5. I'm fine with either, but if given the invite, I want more to the season than getting beat up in the first month and then lose to teams we shouldn't later.
