High school classes cater to the person who has no idea how
to take any kind of a test. So it's really basic and general test taking stuff.

If the student is self motivated, the books, like Kaplan and Princeton review are the best option. But this takes a self motivated student to really help.

If you don't think your student will be quite self motivated enough to go through a book on their own, then private tutoring is the answer. But it's also the most expensive option by far. But the most expensive tutoring services are basically the same as the cheaper ones. So no need to go with the most expensive. But somebody who has some experience is a good idea.

I've had 3 kids go through the ACT and each one of them have been in these 3 categories I listed. And my motivated child took the ACT 8 times before she got the score she wanted. I know what I'm talking about on this subject.
