Comparing the BYU RB corps...The telent is there IMO.
Player Class Att yds AVG TD REC YDS AVG TD
Katoa Soph 78 423 5.6 8 20 114 5.7 1
Williams SR 194 856 4.7 5 9 152 16.9 0
Esukpa SR 196 778 4.0 6 3 37 12.3 0

Looking at these guys, It ooks to me that There is talent there.  "Soup" looks to be the weakest of the three, but hedid play for the weakest team.  Ty'son is interesting.  He doesnt' have a ton of carries, but he ddid average 4.7 YPC in the SEC.  Katoa has the best raw numbers, and that was just his Freshmen year and he was hampered by injures.

I think there is real talent, and there is depth.  Lets hope they can all stay relatively healthy.  Last year was a nightmare for our RB's health wise.

With regards to Ty'son being "unproven."  I have to disagree.  Ty'son, taking his HS recriting ranking, is the higest rated RB to ever come to BYU.  And while it is obvious from his stats that he was not at the top of the depth chart, averaging 4.7 YPC in limited acgtion, against the competition that he faced in the SEC means that he is for from "unproven."

I think the question is whether or not he can reach his potential, coming out of HS.

The suggestion that Williams has proven "nothing" is total nonsense (oxcoug, Jul 11, 2019 at 7:28pm)
There is nothing “proven” about Williams. If anything, he is much closer (ColumbusCoug, Jul 11, 2019 at 1:53pm)
