Instead of 3D touching the phone app, you'll swipe left to the widget screen and will have 4-8 of your favorites right there to call by pressing their contact picture.

long press-> release is "Haptic Touch"... not 3D touch (weird, i know)

Weird. I was pressing harder, didn't realize it would do the same thing as a long press (but you are right).

long press should bring up a popup.. harder press should bring up a 'dialog'
