The 3D touch 'hardware' adds to the cost of the device... That's why the iPhone XR doesn't have a 3D touch screen.

If you have a 3D touch screen, Apple is disabling it in software.

Not that it will replace it all the way, but try adding a Phone-Favorites widget

long press-> release is "Haptic Touch"... not 3D touch (weird, i know)

Weird. I was pressing harder, didn't realize it would do the same thing as a long press (but you are right).

long press should bring up a popup.. harder press should bring up a 'dialog'
