Totally worth it. I agree with RA above, you don't need to spend big money for
a nice boat if you are ok roughing it a bit. It's fun to get to know the fisherman on a personal level, his story, his stories, his family... It's just a more authentic experience if that's interesting to you.
Some of my best memories are fishing in these boats with my brothers and dad.
