isolated punch.
Junior was a good guy. He lifted and was the strongest bencher I ever saw. My puny arms were there to spot him. He would warm up on 225, move to 315 with ten to fifteen reps and then move to 405, easily doing another ten reps. He then scaled up to over five hundred.
I said, "Junior, if you need help, these arms won't cut it." He laughed typically. I saw him triple around 535 to 565. We didn't have supersuits back in those days and he did this with BYU T-shirts on.
His "cousin" came in one day, sat down and french curled 185 ten times and then 225. Then he left never to be seen again.
I always teased Junior how my arms would be bigger than his some day. He usually laughed at the skinny white boy.
