those that have cut the cord, need advice
My cable/internet provider (Cox cable) keeps going up and up. 18 months ago it was $160/mo, now it is $225. We don't get any movie channels and have a fairly basic plan. For those that have cut the cord, how did you figure out how to watch what you want to watch? It looks like the fastest internet only service is $99 ($120 regular price). I imagine the first step is to take inventory of the shows and programs you watch on a regular basis and then figure out what channels they are on. If they aren't on local antenna TV or not able to get antenna reception, then figure out an alternative method to watch them? Problem is, sometimes we might be watching a TV program on an app within APPLE TV and you think your watching the app, BUT you must also have access to that channel (pay for it) from your cable provider to watch it. So sometimes people think they can watch programs on say, ABC, CBS, NBC, or even ESPN, etc... and since they have been watching things on the app, they fail to think that they need cable to even access the shows on the app.

Is there a good reference guide that people use to figure it all out and also what devices support certain channels or apps, etc.... We do have an Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV stick. We sub to Amazon Prime and Netfilx. To be honest, most of the stuff we watch are from these 2 services, but some things like my wife likes to watch The Voice, and I have certain sporting events I watch (mainly BYU sports, and Auto racing, but I think I can get the auto racing off of the services that I pay for, Indycar app and Formula 1 TV).

TIA!!!
