Speed is not and has not been the problem vs. Utah. The problem has been the LOS
We have seen a very notable gap develop over the past several years between Utah's O line/D line and BYU's O line/D line. Frankly, Utah has almost always had faster skill positions than BYU (along with a good number of schools). BYU used to be able to neutralize and overcome that difference with superior line talent (QB play and coaching helps too). The tables have turned on the LOS, and that has made the difference in the rivalry.
