I had a sleep test, then it took awhile for the results to be checked. At first the guy I talked to with the results (not the doctor) wanted to put me on a CPAP, but the doctor had told me that often for mild sleep apnea the appliance works great. And, it's not as much of a pain as the CPAP.
So, I said, "what about the appliance?" The guy seemed disappointed--I think he was just trying to make money off the CPAP, but that's my cynical nature. They came back and recommended a doctor for the appliance. Like I said, I pick it up today.
I kind of guessed I had at least a mild form of sleep apnea. I haven't slept well for years (not ALWAYS bad, but regularly bad). Also, my snoring has really picked up the last few years, and my wife said that occasionally I stopped breathing a few times during the night.
