I know I read a study a few years ago that showed if you looked at
"near minimum wage" jobs instead of only those AT the minimum wage there would be a much larger number of people that were affected by a minimum wage hike.
I don't remember the numbers and they may not even be the same now as they were then, but it was an interesting point to think about.
