I have a friend who never finished his degree, but paid for 15 years.
He's in a good job now, and making OK money - albeit one that he had to work his way into a supervisory position over a LONG period of time due to not having a degree.
But the part about paying for a student loan for 15 years after not having a degree is a cautionary tale I share with my kids quite often. Don't get into debt if you can avoid it. If you do - at least do it for a degree that will pay, and finish school!
