I probably have some bias I would admit
My first thought is that at that age and with a solid resume they may be over qualified for the job that is being offered and more likely to move on quickly.

My second thought If somebody looks older is an instant question if they have the computer skills, as unfortunately I've had bad experiences with people over 60 who said they were good with computers and frankly couldn't do much of anything.

I'm old enough (45) to not think that 55 is old but in my business the sweet spot as far as the best employees has been between 35 and about 55 quite honestly.

Now in my position there's a lot of work that we have employees do on the computer, literally 4 or 5 hours every day. It very well could be different in other positions that don't require such extensive use of computers.
