1. Utah started a Fr. at QB who had started less games then Wilson but he played against tougher competition then Wilson. He did not lose to teams like NIU. So BYU started a Fr big deal. Difference is Utah's Fr didn't melt down or collapse but he lead his team back from the largest defect and won the game. Kaufusi went down for 2 plays. Rewatching the game Kaufusi is the one with 1:30 left in the game who messed up on the play. Shelley faked to the RB Kaufusi chased the RB. Shelley ran it 35 yards for a TD 35 to 28. Kaufusi was in the game for almost the entire game stop using injuries as an excuse. Utah dealt with their injuries.
2.Thats the thing how do you know the schemes play calling has changed. I know talking to Utah offensive players that when Ludwig came in he used the same schemes terminology same plays. He just improved on them he doesn't 2nd guess his play calls like Taylor did. Why change things if it is not broken. The only thing he changed is QB under center. Using 2 TE sets to help block and they pass to the TEs now. I sat by Curtis Enis at the spring game. I was introduced to him by his son Solomon who I tutored. He said the offense is ran smoother. The players have really taken to it the schemes looked the same during the Spring game. But Ludwig is the more experienced OC and has just improved Utah's offense. No issues to worry about plus Utah's player's have all been through an OC change before no big deal.
3. Bronco disrespected Whit and Whit has no love for Bronco. Ya Sitake learned a lot from Whit and knows what Whit plays are so games should be close. Whit respects Sitake and BYU his Almamater and has even said he does not like to run up the score on BYU. A win is a win by 1 by 3 or by 7 that is all Whit cares about but not embarrassing BYU or Sitake. But even BYU Holmoe does not respect Sitake where is his extension he is in a wait and see when he loses to Utah again this year Sitake won't be rehired Holmoe can save face and won't have to fire Sitake won't have to buyout his contract.
4. Easy BYUs final score came on a muffed punt by the nation's top punter and 2 blown assignments by Utah the 1st on the play the DB for Utah left Bushman alone down the sideline for the 20 yard bomb. The next was BYU went wild cat in the huddle used a RB as the QB and scored ran in untouched. Utah missed the gap he ran through. Rewatch the game. Utah shut down Wilson's running lanes. Like you said no RB for BYU they didn't go conservative another BYU fan myth how can you go conservative if you can't run the ball?. Zach threw the majority of his incompletions during the last quarter of play because Utah was bringing pressure and Zach was sacked on all of his last possessions. Here is a known fact and what kept Utah in the game. Incompletions stop the clock. Zach threw a lot of incompletions stopping the clock and keeping Utah in the game. Shelley played in his 1st rivalry game he did not melt down going down 20 and lead Utah back from the largest deficit in the history of the nonrivaly for Utah to win the game. Shelley started 2 games before his 1st rivalry game Zach started in 5 games before playing Utah. He had more experience then Shelley.
5. Okay Utah has 7 RBs that could start for BYU even Shyne who had 0 stars. We all know Moss. But did you know Devonte Henery Cole was their starter and had an injury and redshirted last year? He was a 3 star offers from FSU, Pitt, and Notre Dame. TJ Green who ran all over BYU as a Fr. 3 Star OSU, Bosie St but he accepted Utah's offer early. Charlie Vincent 3 star Princeton Stanford. Devin Brumfield 3 star Texas Tech, Miss St, West Virginia. Micah Bernard 3 star Oregon, USC, W State, UCLA. The Fr turning heads at camp Whit compared to Jamal Anderson 4 star Jordan Wilmore ASU, UCLA, USC, CU, W State, Iowa St, Oregon. So yes Utah is stacked at RB if Moss did not play RBs who Utah recruited against other P5 teams. RBs who BYU did not offer because they never would have gone to a program like BYU. Utah will be more than fine at RB.
