Not a shock that you go right to a slight against BYU to try to boost yourself up. I thought we were taking about USC?

I certainly don’t follow the Utes like you do (gross). I’ve simply consumed enough Utah media enough over many years to form an educated opinion. If you’d like to use your superior experience to enlighten folks like us as to why Utah media is the model of objectivity you describe...good luck with that.

I’ll add that my impressions are colored by how I’ve seen local media covering teams like the Cowboys, Saints, LSU, Nebraska, etc. Not everything must be understood in terms BYU as a comparator. I 100% stand by my initial statement.

The Utes gained the upper hand (in football) vs BYU and earned its place in the expansion. Cool. You’re still a fanbase that largely yearns for validation, and it impacts how the local media, who sells you its product, covers the team.
