Two weeks ago my 22-year old son called me from his cell while he was parked on the street in front of our house.
It was late at night and he said he couldn't get the key out of the ignition. He said he'd tried everything. I go outside, climb into the driver's seat, and find that indeed, the key won't come out. I look around and see that he hadn't shifted the car into "park." It was shifted into "neutral." I shifted into park, removed the key and handed it to him with a slight smile. He got this look on his face that I've seen dozens of times--a look that says, "How is it that I killed my dad's score on the ACT, yet he always seems to be smarter than me."
