Yes, slight differences create muscle confusion.
Your body will try to become as efficient as possible on a single exercise. Doing variations of the same workout( lat pull-downs high rows Pull-Ups or assisted dips )all have slightly different angles and core positions. Muscle confusion means your body has to be ready for anything and consequently will adapt with larger stronger muscles.
